Yarrow Valley results

The first event in the new Chorley O-zone series was held at Yarrow Valley Country Park today, Saturday 27th March. This gave another rare opportunity to compete twice in one day (on different areas) since SELOC had an event at Darcy Lever in the morning, allowing several SELOC members to transfer to the Chorley event in the afternoon. That's keen! Meanwhile there were a few new faces, some on their first ever orienteering run, at Yarrow Valley. Results have been added to the Results page (follow the link above). Next event in the series is associated with the British Sprint Championships, starting from Astley Park on Sunday 18th April. Details on the Fixtures page. More photos from the event in the SROC Gallery.

One of these is free to enter! This will be in the courtyard of Astley Hall and is a good introduction to orienteering for all ages. The second event also starts at Astley Hall and allows anyone to try part of the courses used by the elite orienteers who are coming from all over the UK for the championship event. Fees for this event are the same as the other O-zone events: £2 adults or family groups, £1 juniors. Details on the fixture list.
